Eleven thoughts I had upon seeing this year’s Coachella poster
These music festivals are making me thirsty.
I’m practically sedated just from reading the names of the three headliners. The pastel background doesn’t help. “Essence of”-ass fest.
Admittedly, I heard Doja Cat has a pretty fun live show right now… but is that the best they can do? They need a multitalented powerhouse like Usher to liven things up.
NO DOUBT. NO DOUBT. HOW MANY NO DOUBT SONGS DO YOU GUYS KNOW, REPLY IN THE COMMENTS
Best believe Latinos are leading this damn country when you see Bizarrap, Peso Pluma, J Balvin high on the list. Those might be the biggest shows of the weekend.
Two Shell, OPN and Jockstrap might be the only acts I’d buy a ticket for if they came to Denver. (And even then I missed Jockstrap when they came last year!) Maybe feeble little horse, too. If only I had more expendable income to see more live shows…
Grimes comeback is 🤦🏽♂️. (Although Coachella is a mecca for rich white people, so maybe she’ll feel right at home.)
Blur might be the oldest band on here. Are Blur old? And if so am I still young by comparison? Sound off in the comments.
I’m worried we as a culture forgot how poorly Frank Ocean did last year.
In general I’m just tired of people spending money they don’t have to make event execs richer. They do not care about you. If they did they’d repay anyone who bought a pass to see Frank on Weekend 2. Which they didn’t.
Black Country, New Road got hit with the small font. Small enough to indicate the band is inferior since frontman Isaac Wood left? You decide.
Oneohtrix Point Never got hit with the small font. That’s showbiz, baby.
I’m just a girl 🎶 (no doubt)
