Support the work behind Loops

Dear Looper,
If you’re reading this, it’s likely you’ve been following Loops since its infancy. It was nearly six years ago when I began this project in Minneapolis, inside a coffee shop overlooking Loring Park. Back then, Loops was my distant form of communication, a way to reach out to friends across the country and share songs I couldn’t stop thinking about. My dispatches weren’t always frequent – friendships are often like that – but when I had something to tell you, I opened my laptop and started typing.
All these years later, I realize my commitment to our relationship has changed. Music is not just a tangential part of my life – it is my hidden treasure. I’ve cherished it and sought to understand it my whole life, and all I want is for you to join me on that journey.
So Loops is back. It won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. My mission will be to broaden your horizons and help you fall in love with music again.
With Loops nearing almost 200 subscribers, I opened up different subscription tiers for those who want to pay monthly or annually to support my work. Several of you have already upgraded to one of these tiers, and I’m so grateful for your investment in this newsletter.
If you’ve been a free subscriber for a while, please consider upgrading your subscription. You’ll see that down the line there will be exclusive features – DJ mixes, artist interviews, Spotify playlists – that will only be available to paid subscribers:
I will also send out polls to help me with future volumes of the newsletter. I believe this will fine-tune Loops and help it spread far and wide to new readers.
What have you thought of the Loops newsletter so far? Is it what you imagined when you initially subscribed? What would help you make the leap to a paid subscription?
Let me know by replying or commenting below.
Yours truly,
Miguel
